Welcome to burnouts.co.nz, home of the Kapiti-Horowhenua Youth Suicide Prevention Trust.
The burnout pad is located slightly south of Levin in the 80kph area on SH1. The pad is behind the old "loaded hog" restaurant.
Our aim is to bring you exciting tyre burning action while promoting a safe and legal environment for motor sport and burnouts while highlighting the fact that youth suicide is a large and ongoing problem in New Zealand. Burnouts.co.nz is attempting to help this situation by donating money after various burnout competitions to local youth suicide prevention groups. New Zealand has the 2nd highest suicide rate for youths (15-24) in the 13 OECD countries.
Show your support for this as well as having a legal and safe environment for burnout competitions by entering and watching the events held.

Gavin Doughty (one of the 3 trustees) handing over a cheque for $1500 to Jackie Monahan from Life to the Max Trust. This will go towards supporting youth and youth suicide prevention in the local community.
The donation has come from the fantastic support from spectators, entrants, volunteers and supports of burnouts.co.nz and the Youth Suicide Prevention Trust.
A 1.8m high safety catch fence is now completely installed around the burnout pad.
Christmas Smokefest 2011: Another fantastic event has been and gone. With hot weather and over 30 entrants there was plenty of tyre smoke for everyone. Full results and photos+video links will be uploaded shortly.
